The secret life of words: "trying to forget the past"

The secret life of words, directed by Isabel Coixet, is starred by Sarah Polley, who plays as Hanna, a nurse that will have to take care of Josef (Tim Robbins).

The story begins showing the Hanna’s every day routines: her tasks at work, her house, what she eats, etc. She works in a factory and her boss suggests her to take some days off because she has never done it since she got to the factory. In her holidays, Hanna will work as a nurse in an oil platform in the open sea, taking care of Josef, a man who has suffered an accident and has become temporary blind. Hanna will spend all the time with Josef. They will share laughs and experiences and will also remember things of the past. A great relation and friendship will grow between them.

The film’s song "hope there’s someone" by Anthony and the Johnsons goes perfectly well with the film because both of them (the film and the song) are so sad.
I was impressed by the loneliness that you can find in an oil platform like that, with five or six workers and not so many things to do. It must be a hard situation, to be there, alone, with no one of your beloveds and with miles and miles of water all around.

Sarah Polley and Tim Robbins act well. Moreover, the Spanish actor Javier Cámara (the cook of the oil platform) does a great work. He acts perfectly and speaks great English.

You should definitely see this film. Even though it is a very sad film, I bet that everyone that watches this film will be captivated by its plot, its images and its music.
